Hey guys,

For those of you that have leveled your truck. Are you happy with it or do you want to or plan to lift your truck more in the future?

I just got my 2017 1500 and had a leveled 2500. Of course, comparing the two, the 1500 is lower for sure.

I really don't know if I want to lift it, I am wondering if some new wheels and tires (35" tires) and a level kit will be enough for me. I don't want to go nuts, so thinking, a level is a good start.. Guess I could lift at a later date if need be..

If I level my truck with new 5100s.. it would just be a 2" level - does it make a huge difference? I guess it did on my 2500.... so I guess same principle applies here huh :)

I guess it comes down to what you want for YOUR truck. I leveled, then lifted mine. But I had a pretty good idea thats what i wanted from the get go. That being said, I think there are some pretty sweet looking trucks on here running just a level and some more aggressive/bigger tires. So many choices....

I'm happy with my level for now. I just bought a 2017 in July and I'm not quite ready to go cutting on anything yet. Plus for me I'd wanna do new gears and 37s so I definitely need time to save for that.

I plan on lifting to 4" in the future. Just installed bils at 2.1" and 1" rear spacers which is what I wanted so far since the truck is new and I don't want any cutting yet. I'm going to get 35s and new rims when these ones wear down

If you're on the fence, then I'd do just a level with the bils, so you can use them with a lift in the future, should you want to. That way you're not spending money twice on the same thing.

I started with a 2014 1500 4x4. I leveled with with Bilstein 5100s set at 1.4"
This only left about 5/8" of rake. Then added 295/60r20s. I decided I eventually wanted 37s. I later added a 4" Superlift on top of the bilsteins (black truck).

I knew I could fit 37s with some major trimming. I parked next to a stock 2500 and realized the tailgates were dead level with each other. The front of my 1500 was a little higher than the stock 2500. I did some research and ended up with a Deep Cherry Red 2500 with a 3/1 lift and 37x12.50r20 with just some minor trimming of the fender liner.

The black 1500 rode great, almost car like, and I babied it. The 2500 rattles my teeth at times but I treat it like a truck and don't have to wash it but once every other month or so.... depends what you want out of it I guess. I haven't washed it in 3 months and it's screaming at me to give it a good wash :buffer:

Look into Thuren springs for that 2500. You will LOVE the ride compared to what it is now.

My 2500 was a joy to drive with his Springs/shocks.

If you park in that garage then just do a level kit or 4" lift either with 35's.

All personal preference. My truck is leveled 2" and currently sits half an inch higher in the back. I think it is perfect. I am still on the stock Goodyear SRA's though and plan to go with bigger tires once they need replacing in the next year or two.
