I've emailed a few dealerships after talking to musclemckeester (he said his dealer installed the lift and are upholding his warranty). Thinking i may go with the 4" mopar or see if they will install an aftermarket and maintain warranty as well. 6" would be lovely but I'm only concerned with getting on 35s and afraid the 6" with 35s would look small.

question.....I have a new 2012 big horn 1500 crew cab 4x4, I do tow a camper so I do like some rake. I am leaving the stock 20" rims and tires for awhile (until they wear down and need replaced) looking at the RC 2.5/1.75 spacers or the 4" suspension lift, any opinions on this, anyone do a 4" and leave stock tires and wheels? the price I was quoted for the level was $350 and the 4" lift was $1700 installed with allingnment on both? any help, opinions or photos of similar set ups would be awesome! I don't do much off road, just think the stance of these 4x4's are too low!

Anyone feel free to correct me if i am wrong.

1. You CAN do the 4'' lift with the stock wheels and tires, BUT you have to get wheel spacers (.25'' i believe). The tires will look TINY, But who cares if you don't especially if you're gonna change them down the road.

2. for $1700 for everything IS A GREAT deal and if i had that deal i would have gotten that. usually people spend like $2500+ for labor and everything

You actually wont need spacers..as long as you keep the stock tires or around the same size. Any wider and you would! You can run stock wheels and tires all day long on any kind of lift, just might look a tad small lol

Definitely no spacers needed. As long as your tires are like 11-12.25 wide. I'll hopefully be in the shop for my 3" body added to my level Monday (the shop is D*cking around and about to lose my business). But I will have the stock tires till Tuesday I'll snap some pics of 5" lift with stock rims and tires. Before STOCK and the 2nd Picture is after RCX level and stock rims and tires.

Do the level yourself and get an alignment. Save for bigger tires and more lift while your stockers wear out. Then sale the level and go big!

if I go with a 1.5 rear spacer and Bilstein 5100 shocks to lift the front for now, I will be able to leave that and add a RCX 4" lift later correct?? to give 4" + ????

my thought was stock I am sitting at 36.5 in the front, 39 in the rear. Add Bilsteins to the front 1.5 rear, putting me at 38.6(or so) front 40.5 rear. Then down the road when I save $$ adding the 4" RCX lift to that, any thoughts?

Yes sir. You can use the bilsteins on the lift kit of your choice later on and add the lift they will add to it, to adjust your stance. I didn't go with the bilsteins because of taking the strut apart and felt like doing it myself. That sounds like a better plan. Shame I didn't think of it haha

I just had the 5100s put on all four corners and a one inch coil spacer on the rear. It took two guys with a lift over two hours. Glad they did it. Here's my stats. I set the bilsteins at the highest.

Front 36.75
After 39
Rear 39.5
41 3/8

340 priced matched from auto anything for the shocks. 60 from TGC for 1" rear coil spacer. 200 to install everything. 50 for an alignment. Ride is still good. It was pretty squirrelly until the alignment. They had a tough time on the passenger side trying to get the toe in. They said they've seen that some since the Rams don't have a lot of adjustment. I can tell a little difference in shifting. It seems like its shifting a little harder thru some of the middle gears. Need more time to watch and and know for sure. My dealer allows up to 3" of lift so this was about as high as I could get and not have to worry about my warranty.

looks good! think i am going to do the same for now and gotta do something with the exhaust (too quiet), when the tires wear i will think about adding a 4" lift and 34 or 35" tires.
