Has anyone used the Hell Bent Steel 2.5" leveling kit on their 2012 yet? I'm really concerned about how it will ride compared to stock with the kit but my biggest worry is any vibrations it may cause.

If there is vibration after leveling it really has nothing to do with brand of level kits. Its due to changing the cv angels.

I would go the Bilstein 5100 route myself if I was only looking at leveling the truck. If you later down the road wanted to lift it the 5100's could still be used and could remove any rake that the lift kit would make. I think if you wanted to run spacers I have a friend that put Truxx brand level kit on his 2012 outdoorsman. He spent $150 on the kit then $300 install (stealership) then a $120 alignment. He could of gone the 5100's through a truck shop and gotten it all done for $300. There are alot of different options out there for you but in the end go with what you want and what you can afford. I know alot of people on here run Hell Bent Steel's product and love it. I am unsure if they make a 2012 kit though.

I've looked into the bilsteins for the 2012 and couldn't find out if they work with them so I messaged 3rdStrikePerformance and he was saying that he couldn't find any 5100 adjustables for the 2012s

At Bilstein's website, they have a make and model search function and my truck lists THESE as the correct part number. I am definitely going this way (eventually) due to all of the "death wobble" threads I've read on the interwebs re: leveling with spacers. Looks like they have part numbers for all of the 2012 Rams.

death wobble does not apply to a 1500, it applies to trucks with a solid front axle. With a 1500 leveled you can have some vibration felt in 4x4 due to the increased cv angles. This is possible with spacers or bilsteins 5100 adjustable shocks.

I was under the impression that the Bilsteins didn't affect ride quality, and only with spacers did the CV angles cause the 4wd vibration. My mistake, perhaps I need to look at a short lift (4"?) instead and skip the leveling altogether.
