nice ! my plan is to go with the bilsteins at 2.8 check for vibes then after a week or two go 295 65 r20 on stockers. probably cooper stt's. see if the power loss from 35's is livable before I go 4inch lift 35s and new wheels.

Bilsteins set at 2.8, a .75" rear spacer and 275/65/20's. these tires measure about 34.5". So not a true 35. Going 35's once these wear out.

Bilsteins at 2.8 with a 1.5" rear spacer, toyo open country m/t 35/12.5r20 on factory sport wheels with a 3/8 hub centric wheel spacer and also mevotech UCA's... I get rub on the inner gender wells when I'm at full lock pulling into my driveway which has a large bump at the beginning of the driveway... easy fix for the run is take a softball and a hairdryer/heatgun and heat up the spot that's rubbing and use the softball to flatten out the area or invert it

Looks good with the 35's!! What made you switch from the Trail Hogs to the Mud Hogs?

Wanted bigger tires so I figured I'd give the mud hogs a try. Had great luck with the trail hogs.

Did you wear the Trail Hogs down completely, if so how many miles did you get out of them?

Nope, LOTS of tread on them left. Had about 12000 miles on them and they looked like this.

Mastercraft Coursers 35x12.50. They must be a skinny 12.50 since I didn't need spacers like the experts said I would. I may try BFG KOs next, but it may be awhile, these are wearing well, just a little hum on freeway.

Which mastercraft Coursers are those?

looking into level kits for my 2016 so i can stuff some 35s under there. found the zone 2in kit that comes with upper control arms for like 520 on there web sight.

had 2 questions

1 im amusing there hasnt been any major changes in the '16 upper ball joints so they still require upper control arms with a level to prevent future issues?

2 it says they have replaceable ball joints that you can get at a local parts store which ones are these cause from what i understand our trucks stock ones are serviced with the arm.

I've been looking into throwing some 35s on my truck. And as a matter of fact I went to my local lift shop and talked to them about the options on my truck without making it too big. I asked him about putting 35s with a leveling kit, it CAN fit but I was highly discouraged of. My rep said that with a leveling kit it will essentially have no flex room. So pot holes, speed bumps, and even my drive way would cause rubbing even with trimming.
The best recommended format was a 4in lift kit on with 35s. I did a lot of shopping and after my visit and the best kit for bang for buck would be a 4in kit through BDS.
Let me know what you decide to do because I'll be curious as to how you like whatever set up you go with on a leveling kit.

Mastercraft Courser MXT

Thanks! I just recently picked up my 2014 RAM and it has 275/60/R20 Mastercraft Courser HSX Tour's. I don't know anything about them but I want to get larger tires when these wear down. They look pretty good right now.

I feel the fox 2.0 is the best option for leveling. I also went with the zone UCA and have gotten 130,000 miles out of the kit. 107,000 miles on the Cooper AT3 LT tires. 6000 mile rotates and couldn't be happier. New coilovers, all ball joints and inner and otters are going on next week, and it will be ready to go another 100,000. Upper ball joints are still tight, but while we are in there might as well swap them out. Due to finding a smoking deal on a set of 2017 take offs, (600 dollars for rims and tires) I will be on Goodyear SRA's for the next 60,000 miles (year).

When everyone says a 12.5" tire will rub on the stock wheels...are we talking at full lock they'll rub and when turning, or the tire sidewall will sit against the uca?

Mastercraft Courser MXT

Was looking at getting these. I had Toyo MT's on my Silverado and I didn't like the weight. From everything I've found the MXT's are quite a bit lighter than the Toyos. Love the Toyos look, but hate their price and weight.

That's been my understanding but I just wanted to confirm. Is this an issue on the factory 8" wheels or only the 20x9s?
