I've only found a 4" from BDS, Rancho, and Pure Performance. Why is there such a shortage of larger lift kits for this model?
I was looking at 2500s then found out the power wagon has 4.56s stock, I had no idea! Not sure why they went with a 4.10 gears in 2014 (Guess the new thing is increasing gas mileage blahhh) I'd like to possible go this route if there are bigger lifts available.

Also, what's the difference why regular 2500 lifts wont work?

The power wagon sits a couple inches higher stock. So a 4" lift is the same as a regular 2500 with a 6" lift

IMO the power wagon in stock height is more than adequate for anything you'd throw at it.

I'd be afraid to take one off road. That's a lot of coin to go beat the **** out off.

I agree it would be adequate, but I'm going for a distinctive look.

I wouldn't be serious off roading a 60k truck lol

Coming from my current setup of 10" and 37's, I need something bigger!

A lot of misinformation about Power Wagons I here. The 4th gens are not lifted 2" higher than a standard 2500. Maybe 1/2“ the best.

Ok. So what differences are in the suspensions between the 2500 and PW?
Any 8" lifts available?

Springs are softer but more or less the same height. Control arms and track bar are the same. Sway bar is obviously different. End links from lift kits won't work. So aside from the sway bar, any 2500 suspension lift will work. Dodgeoffroad.com has longer end links for the power wagon.

Keep in mind that a body lift kit wont mesh well with the power wagon because of the winch. You'd have to swap to an aftermarket bumper.

There's a lot of valuable power wagon info at Powerwagonregistry.org...

Jeeze you guys act like it's going to shatter like an egg first time it's taken off highway.

:Nonono:

Personally, if I were going to do that much modding to a truck, I would just start with a "regular" 2500. It wouldn't make sense to pay for all the "upgraded" suspension and stuff just to **** can it to add a big lift.

I guess you would have to weigh the price of then adding the gears, lockers and adding a winch then, so it may be close.

They are just so capable stock, that anything much over a mild lift to fit moderately larger tires, similar to myoung84's, seems overkill. Unless you are strictly doing it for looks, which apparently most folks do, as they are afraid to actually use them as they were intended. Which, in that case, I would DEFINATELY start with a standard 2500, as there would be no need for all the Lockers, swaybar disco and winch and would be much cheaper.

Ok. The main reason was for the OEM 4.56 gears, bc its such a pain to get those in 2011+ 1500 models. Im guessing it could be a simple swap for the "regular" 2500s

You don't need a PW specific lift. The only thing different is the sway bar links because they bolt horizontally to the SmartBar where the regular 2500s are vertical. I installed the 6" BDS kit out of my '11 2500 in my buddies '11 PW without changing anything. It was a straight swap. Also if you want the 8" BDS long arm kit you have to run 6" coils and a spacer due to nobody making an 8" gas spring.
