Recently purchased a 2016 RAM 1500...currently planning to use Bilstein Adjustable 5100 to level the front end, but rethinking that I would also like to lift the rear approx. 2". Looking for recommendations on how to best lift the rear of the truck without compromising ride quality and payload capacity...was recommended to use Bilstein 5100 and 2" drop shackle...love to get opinions.

For rear lift you can either go with a 1.5" Icon coil spring or the other option is rear coil spacers. With either one I would recommend new rear shocks as well for the added height. Bilsteins would be a good option back there as well.

A 2" drop shackle is a terrible recommendation for two reasons. 1) A drop shackle isn't going to do a very good job at lifting a truck. 2) Your truck doesn't have spring shackles as it has coil springs in the rear, not leaf springs.

Thank you! That is very reassuring, as I was questioning the overall concept of the 2" drop shackle as well.
