Ok question,

I would like everyones input on a a small lift and fender flares. I am thinking maybe a 2 to 4in lift and painted flares,l. If yall could.post up some pictures of your trucks with what lift and flares you are using would be great.

I have a 2016 ram 1500 crew cab 4x4 if that helps at all.

Thank you all.

Level kit, installed, $350

Bushwacker paint matched flares, $835. Installation would be extra. I did my own.

Total expense out of my wallet = $1185

Sounds reasonable on price. Did you put on new wheels and tires aswell? Any offset? Tire size?

Another 2500 leveled with flares. I didn't like them, so off they came moments after I installed them. LOL..

I painted them myself to match - I got them from Ebay for $220. They are a BW knock off.

I did my own level Kit $150 and the flares were $220, paint/supplies where $85.00
$455 my total cost.

Then again, it's 1000% easier to level a 2500 than a 1500.

Whats the difference between the two, my guess is because of the coil spring set up on all four corners of the truck? I am not sure how the leveling kit would work, id like somthing quality without sacrificing ride quality. Any suggestions?

Yes, 18x9 wheels with a +12 offset and 35x12.50x18 tires.

For a 1/2T going with Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks seems to be the preferred method.

For my 2500 I went with a 2" spacer kit from Tuff Country.

That's a great looking truck!! I am looking for some wheels that will tolerate the Ohio winters and a true 35" tire. How are your wheels holding up?

Those are KMC XD Addicts (#795 I believe) that I put almost 140K miles on between use on a 2007 MegaCab and this 2014 CC.

They held up really well except for the simulated bead lock plastic nuts, which I removed, and they now reside on all 4 corners of a 2015 Ram Tradesman 2500 Cummins diesel owned by my fiscally challenged, Afghan war veteran neighbor.

Then:

I've since swapped them out for a set of Walker Evans Racing Legacy 504's. Here's a pic of a dirty truck with clean wheels :D:

Everyday I go back and forth on if I love or despise flares.

Guess it depends on the application lol

its harder to Like/love on a sport or express since there is no stopping point/transition at the bumper

IMO, the OEM 2500 flares for Sport or Express trucks look the cleanest (or OEM 1500 flares for other models)

Not a fan of Bushwakers or any of those pocket "bolted look" flares. That style went away years ago.

The best style now is nice and clean and simple.

You have a close up of the front flare? The end?
