I bought a silver Laramie today. Part of the sale includes the dealer installing a 4" lift on it. I will be putting on 35s. I'm not sure how it will look with the factory wheels so I'd like to see some lifted Laramies with factory and aftermarket wheels. Do you folks think regular aluminum wheels (same color as the Sport wheels) would look good or should I stick with chrome? I'm not really interested in any other colors than standard aluminum or chrome. Thanks.

depending on what tire size you choose you might need wheel spacers so keep that in mind in your decision to keep stock wheels or get aftermarket.

quietpeen that was going to be my next question. Sorry if this is a dumb question but the Superlift site says that you can run a 35x12.50 x 20 tire on wheels with up to 5.5" backspacing. Does that mean that wheels up to 5.5” backspacing can be run without mods or wheel spacers? Do you know what the backspacing would be on the factory wheels?

20x9 wheels with 5.5" backspacing will push the wheels out far enough to keep the tires from rubbing the UCA. Which makes sense because most times when people put 12.5" wide tires on their stock 20x9 wheels which have 5.75" backspacing a 1/4" spacer fixes the problem.

I have a 4 inch lift . I recently bought wheels. I ran the factory 20x9 express wheels with 1 1/2 bora spacers for a while though. With 35/12.50's. I like the Laramie wheels . Almost bought a set instead of aftermarket.

Keep in mind that if you buy spacers. Need 1 1/2 minimum . Otherwise you have to cut or grind your factory wheel studs down

just to clarify, that is for spacers that come with studs. If you get just a quarter inch spacer it just fits between the wheel and the rotor with no modification to the studs.

Sorry. My bad. Was referring to the bora or comparable wheel/hub centric spacer

Some will, it just depends. We have one locally that is a certified AEV dealer. They install AEV stuff on RAMs and Jeeps all of the time. They sometimes even do it to new vehicles and place the on their lot for sale.

The installer at the dealership suggested a 20x10 wheel with an offset between 0 to -24 and a 35x12.5 tire. He said this setup shouldn't rub and won't stick outside the wheel well too far. I'd like it to extend beyond the wheel well by an inch or so. Barely more than the fender flare. Does his advice seem good?

What size tires you running on those Jershipe? Are you using a wheel spacer or anything or just lift, wheel and tire with no issues?
