I recently purchased a 2016 Ram 1500 crew cab. I want to lift it. (Never lifted anything before). I live in British Columbia in Canada. The dealership is quoting me $4500 for a 4" mopar lift. And saying it will take 22 hours to install. Total including tax would be around $8500. I know that's a rip off. Anyone with a 4" mopar lift that can let me know what they paid? Any input is appreciated.

The dealer installed "Mopar" lift is just a re branded superlift that they install. They mark it up like crazy. I'd be lookin around. That price is insane

If you wanna do a lift, go with bds, they make the best lifts out there and the package for the ram is great. Also wouldn't take 22 hours for an install unless they are turtles lol

For 8500 it would have to have wheels and tires . Rough Country is just as good as any imo . And very reasonable on price . Add the BL5100 and your good to go .

I had my 4" Superlift installed through the dealer I bought my truck from.

This was in the greater Toronto area in southern Ontario.

I paid $2100 for the lift & my total labour bill was $900.

The labour portion of $900 covered the lift kit, Bushwacker fender flares, 20x9 rims/35 tires, & Retrax tonneau cover.

You're getting really hosed. Check the Superlift web site for an authorized dealer in British Columbia.

22 hours is very ridiculous. I put a lift on my Chevy 1500 by myself in my driveway in like 8 hours. The Rams are essentially the same process

Yeah I would not go through the dealer.. Where in BC you located?

Offroad Parts & Accessories: Jeep, Truck, 4x4 | North Shore Off Road

Talk to these guys at North Shore offroad. I've bought my Zone 6" lift from them for $2100 , but I did the installation myself but it only took 8 hours? There is a shop in Edmonton that sold the 6" kit and installation for $2800 with alignment
Ask them how much would be the purchase of the kit and installation. If it is steep again, just buy the kit and call around different shops for quotes.

The only benefit to getting a Mopar lift is that if anything happens it will be covered under warranty.

having said that, i dont think many guys have had problems with lifts on their trucks, not saying there aren't any. but if you find a good shop to do it, i think you will be ok.
