Ok, wasn't going to touch mine, saw this, now has me thinking LOL

Nothing major, but these are 20x9's...those look to still be like 33" tall tires?
Wonder if I go with like a 34" tire I will need a lift?

275/65R20 (34x10.8) will fit with stock setup. That is what I have on my truck, no lift. The black truck looks like it is on 32s with a slight lower to it.

thanks, so you have no rubbing issues, that 275 have a slightly bigger sidewall than stock?
I would like at least same height, maybe a tad taller, and wider. Yea, those look shorter than even 33's. (original post)

I believe I'm going to go with a 275/65-20 General Grabber AT2 on my stock sport wheels. Roughly 34.1" height and 11" wide. The only difference is I'm installing some Bilstein's up front at 2.1 to level the truck.

The 275/65-20 will rub a little on the plastic fender liner on the driver side when turning full left. Not an issue as it is just the plastic liner and there is nothing behind it.

They have about 1/2 of more sidewall than stock. A/T will have a squarish profile and thus look taller than a non A/T.

That could vary between trucks. I didn't have any rub at all when I had 275 /65.

IMO

Yeah, the place it rubs on my truck is inconsequential. I could easily cut the plastic back but no reason to.

Im guessing that the 275/65 will be $300 to $400 cheaper since they are a stock size on t Super Duty.

Ok, think I only need a 2" front lift to fit Nitto Terra grappler G2 in 285/65/20?
275's are 34" tall, 285's are 34.5...

Not only are they .5 inch taller but they are .5 wider as well. Not sure about how those would fit without a lift.

Yea, Sean from Maxtrac just told me even with their 2.5" lift springs, they probably would rub. Dang it.
Thought the 2.5 coil level would allow 275's or 285's.

So consensus is 275/65/20's will fit with no lift? 20x9 and 0 offset wheels?

Yes, those will fit no lift and stock rims.
I am surprised that the 285/65r20 will rub with a lift. I think that is wrong. Basically the center of the tire raises 1/4" and the inside of the tire moves in a 1/4". I will go take some picks at my truck later with the steering wheel at lock to show the clearance.

thank you...yea, Sean at Maxtrac said that Id better do 33" tall only even with the 2.5" front coils. I thought for sure a 285/65 would work lifting nose 2.5".
But I can do a 275/65/20 and still do 2.5 coils, and I think it'd look about right too.
Probably cheaper too :naughty:

Now ready to shoot me? Its a 2wd..so does that make a difference on height between 2WD and 4WD's?

Somebody else can confirm the 2 vs 4 stance. I don't deal in 2wd info but you already know this. My 4wd front fender is 37" ground to inner metal lip. Stock should be right around 36.5. If you are in that area you should have the same stance as 4wd and should fit a 275/65r20. I checked the spacing on my tires today, you shouldn't go larger than 275/65r20 without a lift.
