From reading I've decided to go the Bilstein route to level my truck. Is it necessary to add a spacer in the rear?

If you want them set at 2.8".. And you want your truck as close to level as possible.. Expect to need anything from 1/2" - 1" spacer for the rear.

Id install just the bils first, give it a couple weeks, then decide from there if you want a spacer or not.

You will gets tons of different answers/opinions.. Everyone's truck is different.

Simple answer, no.

Some will add a spacer in the rear to keep a small amount of rake in the truck. I set mine at 2.1 and have about 3/4" difference in fender height from the rear to the front (no spacer).

Like Austin said , all trucks are different, I have mine at 2.1 and am dead ass level..... Do what he said , do the bilstiens and let it settle. Then decide where you go from there.

Measure from the ground to fender lip on front and rear and see the difference. My buddy put his at 2.1 on his 13 ram and it sits dead level so the 2.8 def would've been nose high and needed a spacer in the rear.

Mine are set at 2.1 with no spacer in the back. I still have a slight rake, and i filled the wheel well gap with 275/65/20 tires.

Yes, but you will need to re-use some of your OEM parts like the spring seat, coil springs, spring hat and etc.

FWIW mine is set at 2.8 and nothing in rear. Looks perfectly level. But I have seen pictures where people were nose eye. Just install the bils first and decide from there.
