Looking into putting new upper control arms on. I hear mevotech are more or less direct replacement trash. And zone are pricey. Is there any other options that are recommended that fall in between these two choices?

Why are you replacing the control arms? Ball joint failure?

No, no issues with my stock ones. But I like the idea of replacing them with something better. but definitely not spending 400+ dollars on the zone uca's

I had Mevotech's for 35,000 kms without issue. I didn't even grease them. Lots of members on here have also used them without issues. For $50 per UCA, give them a shot.

I agree with xrsman. Especially since your stock ones aren't messed up. There's that old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" lol. I opted for the Zones with mine but I am also gonna be throwing on a Zone 4 or 6 inch lift in the spring time so I figured instead of replacing them twice (my stock ball joints popped) I'd just go ahead with the upgraded ones.

considering the OP's profile is correct and his truck is a 2010, i dont see any reason why he should buy mevotech's instead of keeping his stockers if they are in good shape. the fear of ball joints popping out didnt start until 2013+ trucks if im not mistaken.

if your looking for another option besides zone, i think tuff country makes upper control arms for these trucks as well, but they arent any cheaper.

my 2012 ball joint popped at 35000km. Dodge front ends are junk.

To op if you do get Mevos make sure you paint them.

Thanks for the feedback guys. After talking to a couple of local shops I've decided to keep my stock uca's and just go with the 2" level kit. I'm not an off roader and just want my truck to have a tad more aggressive look. So the level and a set of 275 65 20 tires will be perfect for me.

I've had Mevotecs for over 25,000 miles with bilsteins @+ 2.8" , I offroad on a very regular basis .

No issues with my MEVOTECS at all ...

Hope this helps !

My mevotechs went on pretty smoothly. I did them at the same time as my bils so it only added 20 minutes or so

Mine was easy peasy while doing the bilsteins. Pop 2 bolts off, swap arms, 2 bolts on. (And obviously proper bolt torque procedures etc etc)

Hmm. I've heard the bolts don't go into the mevotechs well.
