Thats a lot of gap still in your front wheel for running 35s.

Cool thread. Question: how's the road noise with most of these tires?

Pretty much any MT or AT tire will make more noise then the stockers but only a few are really loud that you regret buying them.
I have Mickey Thompson MTZs on my 69 and they are not bad at all, had Toyo MTs on my 07 Cummins and they were also nice just alittle louder then stock. Had BFG MTs and theu also were quiet compared to some. The Dunlop Rang Rovers on my Super Duty were lounder then the others.
Bad is if you dont keep them rotated they will cup or feather fastet because of the wider tread spacing thus making them get louder.

My Nitto G2 tires are very quiet. I did not have the stock goodyear tires on before I made the switch. But they were a similar tread in the stock size. The Nitto tires are quieter. Tread wear is phenomenal (I might get 100k out of these) and I have no complaints about on or off road traction.

A buddy of mine switch from the Nitto mud terrain (295/70/17) to my size and the G2 tire. Hes extremely happy with the new tires and gets better MPG with the G2 over the mud terrain.

Thanks!
285/75/17 is an odd tire size, so they cost a little more. But the dimensions are just what I wanted. They're measure roughly 33.75x11.25

Thanks for the feedback. I bought a 1500 qc slt pentastar with 20 inch mb tko wheels w/ sport truck sumitomo tires that ride quiet but extra rough. I can feel every pebble on the road. I'll post a pick tomorrow. Keep in mind I'm not a big fan of wheels - especially the tires. The truck came with this setup

where did you get the grill screen inserts?

I went to Home Depot and repurposed some aluminum gutter screen. Used the honeycomb inserts as a template, and then rattled canned to screens and installed by cutting out small squares where the tabs would and zip tying to hold them down. Pics do it little justice. Nice to be able to switch the color up as desired, and helps bugs hitting the radiator

Those pics were before the alignment but even after I have a good amount of free space between wheels and the fenders. To me it looks perfect. Not a fan of the wide or stuffed look when it comes to 4wds. Only thing negative I would say so far is that the ride is definitely comparable to my 3500 now lol. The bils are stiff, that's for sure.

It looks good, I wish I had a little more gap. I'm running 35's too and mine is about half of that. Always Mind The Gap. :naughty:
