HI All,
Have used the search engine and results vary for me??? I'm confused.
My 2011 4x4 quadcab. Looking to level with maybe 1/2" of rake at the most.
Stock tires and wheels. 17".

Do I need UCA's or not? All suggestions welcome

This is what I have coming so far.
Bilstein 5100 Series Shock Kit for Dodge Ram 1500 4WD 2009-14 - Includes Front Ride Height Adjustable Shocks # 24-187367 & Rear Shocks # 24-187374 by Bilstein .

I know it will need to be aligned. Maybe will do new ball joints at the time. I just want to do this once. :)
Is there any thing else I need?

Thanks in advance.
MK

Thank you for the fast response. Sorry for the redundant question. So much info here that it can get confusing. :)

yea the 2009 thru 2012's came with a stronger per say UCA so there wasn't the persistent problem of them popping the ball joints.

to get only 1/2" of rake you will most likely need to set the bilsteins at 2.8

Okay should I consider any rear spacers? As I will occasionally tow a trailer and I mean once or twice a year. I have the tow package from factory if that matters? My apologies for not asking this in my OP.

a lot of members have put rear spacers too to keep some rake. I'm would think no matter what when towing a trailer you will end up nose high, but rear spacers would lessen it some.

You could always throw a set of air lift 1000 bags, or similar for when you tow. Just throw that out there as an option....

I have a 2011 and just leveled it about a month ago. I used bilsteins set at 2.8 and put a 1" spacer in the rear. I've had no issues with my UCA.

Who has installed ONLY the Bilsteins to be level and what setting did you set them to. I don't want to have to put spacers in the rear.. so I'm thinking 2.8 is to high..

I had almost no 3.5 in factory rake on mine (2011). I leveled first before i lifted my truck, and set my bils to 2.1. Still have about 1-1.25" rake. Measure what ur factory rake is, then see what setting you would need. they're all slightly different. So in my case, 2.8 would get me closer to level...at least to the eye.

I had a 2011 with Bils set at 2.8. Only issue i found was that when in 4x4 the front had a wobble. I now have a 2013 with Bils set one notch down (2.1 i think) and no wobble in 4x4. I know i've read on here that some have had the slight wobble as well.

Is it really a wobble or more of a slight vibration and only under hard acceleration

It's only under acceleration and yeah it's a vibration but the steering wheel would shake a bit back and forth.
