I'm thinking of going with the 6/3 Zone kit and 35's but I want to use Bilsteins up front for better ride and not use the kits preload spacer.

My front measures 36.75" and rear is 39.5" so approx. 2.75" of rake

What setting should I put the front Bilsteins at?

If you have pics of this setup please post them.

Well the lift alone would take all of your 2.75 rake away. You would set the bils at the lowest setting. Anything else and you're gonna be nose high. Now, ifins you wanted to go with the Zome 6/5 kit, you'd be seytin them bils about 2.1 for level.

I thought that by not using the preload spacer the bilsteins should be set above +0 to compensate for the loss in lift the spacer gave.

I have searched and read many posts and cannot get a firm answer as to how much lift the preload spacer provides, even the thickness varies from post to post, some say 1/2" thick, some 5/8" and some 3/4".

I also read that you take the thickness of the spacer x 1.7 to calculate actual lift is that correct?

Ok, i see what ur saying. Lets call the preload 5/8, because 1/8 wont make a bit of difference here. I would say set the bils to the first notch, which i believe is .7, If you want to upgrade the shocks and ditch the preloaded spacer.

Thanks, guess it would help if I knew the exact height of the top strut spacer that comes in the 6" kit

I'm gonna do the 6/5 myself and was curious as well about spacer delete or not with the bils.

Preload spacer was not used for my setup. It was near dead level with bilsteins set at 2.1 . Though now I have air bags in the rear , and was going to bump up the bilsteins to 2.8 and use the spacers. Haven't decided yet

Thanks, but I have decided against the 6/5 and 37's. I intend to take some road trips in this truck and I think that might be too much for what I had in mind.
I still want to upgrade the front struts to Bilsteins though so my question is if I run the 6/3 and not use the preload, what would I set them at....0.7?

Since you seem hung up on upgrading the bils, have you considered doing the 4" superlift with bils upgrade? That's a good set up a lot of memebers are happy with. Just a suggestion

Lol...what would I set them at?

I know most of the 4" bds or Zone owners set them either 1.7 or 2.1

I have a Zone 6/3 and Bils at 0.7. No preload if using Bils. It sits level with a maybe a hint of rake. If I was to bump up to 1.4 might look nose high. Much better ride also with Bils.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for.

I looked for pics of your truck but appears photobucket disabled them, could you post some using the forum attachment?
