Hey, time to update your sig!

Definitely! I won't get to test them until the weekend most likely.

Thanks for the reminder about my sig. :favorites13:

thuren uses a different lower rear shock mount than filthy ms did for my kings. That one looks like it actually fits the lower mount without the use of spacers. Looking good!

After a year, all I can say is that I absolutely love them!

I'm heavily considering going through the same route you did. I've got 6 years/60k miles on my 5100s (pulled them off a 2012 when I got this 2014), but I'm getting a little bored with them and looking to possibly upgrade maybe next year. Do you have anymore feedback? On road feel between the 5100s & Kings? Off road performance greatly improved? Did your lift height change much from the 5100s to the Kings? Do you feel the Kings are worth the price? Thanks

Height stayed pretty much the same. On road the ride is definitely smoother than the 5100s and off road they soak up most everything I’ve thrown at them.

As far as being worth the money, for me they definitely were. I don’t know if equivalent Fox or Icons are cheaper, but for me, I always wanted a set of Kings.

Thats all good to hear. I'm liking the Carli kit that includes rear springs as well. Are you still running stock springs in the rear?

I see that you've got Zone UCAs, that's another option that I'm considering when/if I upgrade the coilovers. Did the King coilovers & zone UCAs all fit & work together well?

I did the Zone UCAs and had custom springs done by Deaver (they’re local to me) back when I did the Bilsteins. I had a master mechanic friend do the install for me. He didn’t mention any issues with the install.

i am ordering the kings 2.5 with Total Chaos UCA to replace my Bilstein 5100. did you experience any rubbing with 35s? I run 315/70/17 with method wheels 0 offset/4.75 backspacing. I am an off-roader.

thank you.

I was really worried because Bilsteins give 2.8" height, while the Kings are 2"to 2.5". I will proceed.

Here is my car with 5100s, will post the kings 2.5 as soon as I install.

That don’t look like a car. Looks like a badass truck to me. [emoji38]. I like the red.

Tomt, do you have them set at 2.5”?, do you have the factory bumper ?
King told me they come preset at 2.5" but I got mine yesterday in the mail and they look to be set at 0 preload with the adjuster all the way to the top, can’t believe that will be 2.5”, they also told me 5 full turns with the adjuster will be 1", so i have a general idea on how to adjust the height.

Would you do me a favor and take a picture of your coilovers above the adjuster showing the open threads you have ? i see in your OP pictures your are actually showing open threads as they should have some, or count the open threads you have and let me know? i'd highly appreciate it.
I'll see if my bench vice is big enough to hold this fackers down to adjust them, otherwise this will be the perfect excuse to get me a new one :)

This is how mine looks like at the moment, i'm pretty sure this will be 0" lift

Ty, could you snap a couple of pics zooming in into their open threads above the collar adjuster ?
That would give me a general idea.
Ty one more time.

Hi guys, here is the big red with King 2.5 shocks. The front is lifted 14 threads and I think it looks like 4 inch lift, but leveled. The ride is a bit hard on road.and I will go offroad soon.

I have OEM rear springs with 1" spacer which I will replace soon with icon springs and re adjust the front shocks accordingly.

We have sold a bunch of the Thuren tuned Kings and the feedback has all been very good. King makes a great product and Don Thuren really knows how to dial these shocks in. If anyone is interested feel free to message me for quotes and info
