Well like a kid in a candy store I couldn't wait any longer even though I told the wifey that I will leave it alone for a while. Well 2 weeks after getting my truck new truck. I already the exhaust but most importantly the lift is on order along with new tires. I will update later next week with pics and all. But here's what I will be going with for now.

Truck is a 2017 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn with only 500 miles on it so far

6" pro comp suspension lift
35x12.5 Nitto Ridge grapplers
Bora 1.75" wheel adapters/spacers because I like the stock wheels on my longhorn

Can't wait I'll keep you all posted

I knew I heard someone say lift on the Ram Forum while I was out back cooking up dinner. You think the idea of it is putting a smile on your face so big it's ripping a hole in your head, wait until it rolls out of the shop. You're gonna love it!

I'm running the 6" procomp with 35 Nitto's. I think you will be pleased. Nevermind, I know you will. If you start having second thoughts or something on doing the lift, pm me, I can provide psychological support to help you with that and I can glue your ears back on for ya!

Welcome to the club! :happy107:

Should look cool. Always nice to do big stuff like that right away before getting your plate in the mail. :)

I have a buddy who does suspension lifts for a living so he will be doing the install for me.

No kidding plates aren't even here yet. I still haven't even registered it here in Texas. I bought the truck in Arizona.

I'm having 4 wheel parts do my lift, are they good?

I had 4 wheel parts install a lift on one of my last trucks and never had a problem. I would do it again

They were going to charge me $1k more for labor than anyone else in my area. Labor came out to roughly $200 per hour.

I had 4wp's in Houston install a rancho lift on a 2000 Z71, put 100k mikes on that truck and never had one problem. Now they only sell fabtech or procomp (house brand) and I didn't want either of those so I'm going to have a different shop do mine.

It depends on where you are. If there is a performance shop near you that does a lot of lifts, it may be better to go to them. It helps if you know the people, or have repore with them imo. Some 4 wheel parts stores have a bad rap- just depends on the guy doing your install. When I lifted my 02 Silverado, I hand picked the guy, he was a small 2 person shop, he had done a lot of off road vehicles and let me assist on the install. I had to drive 6 hours round trip and spend the night in a hotel, but his hourly rate was fair, and he let me be part of it, and in the end gave me a good discount. Granit I have to drive 3 hours north or south to start hitting performance shops as it is so the traveling was no big deal.
