An older dude at work has an '07 Ram with the OEM 20's on it. All week he keeps saying how he wished his truck had 17's, like mine, because he needs new tires and doesn't want to pay for them.

I've been thinking about trading him wheels and getting some money from him, my tires only have 600 miles on them and he needs new ones anyway.

I was wondering what the biggest size tire I can fit on a 20" OEM wheel and not have it rub on a stock suspension 2011 SLT QC 2WD? At some point I'd like to get a 2.5"/1.5" leveling kit and try to fit 35's under it on new rims but that's not gonna be for a little while.

Obviously I need to take a good look at his wheels and make sure he didn't jack them up, but I think 20's with some beefier tires would look pretty good. Maybe I could throw some Bilsteins on all for corners and lift me up an inch or so.

Any thoughts?

275/65 r20. Or you can go a bit wider with a 305/50 r20. I did the same trade with a guy I work with an 08 RAM, I had new tires on 17's he had 1/4 tread, I got $500 in the trade and still have his wheels and tires till I save up for some new ones lol......

I'll wind up putting a set of 305/55 r20 on mine...... I've got a rough country 6 inch lift on my 2wd and I don't want to drop my fuel mileage down . Cooper zeon ltz tires lasted 45k miles on my last truck.....

It's not 4wd lol with 6 inches it only gives it the height of a leveled 4wd.... Pathetic I think but I think I'm gonna have to put some spares to lift it up just a touch more Haha

Really? Mine isn't anywhere near that high! The lift I have is now once again confusing the Hell out of me...... Rough country and fabtech are the only lifts that have the control arm drop brackets..... I need to just buy a new lift that way I know wat is on there.....

my lift consisted of lift springs, lift spindles, some various pieces up front to have odds and ends connect right and lift blocks in the rear.

if you can get a pic of the suspension im sure we can all find out what you got. find a pic of the rear axle where the leafs bolt to it and the front suspension, if it has lift blocks we know it might be a suspension. etc
