I might not be installing the UCAs I ordered. There's a chance, although slim I might trade my truck in on a '14 3500 Black Edition Laramie tomorrow. Trying to decide if I really want to spend the $80K on it or not tonight lol

If you do the trade you should hook me up with a good deal on the UCA's :)

I bet if you go with 5100's or even HD's set to Outdoorsman height which is what I did you would not have to worry about them voiding the warranty because they would look for spacer and it would not be there so that would be nice cost savings if there was an issue. I have had mine slightly adjusted up for about 50k with no issue but you guys are pushing them up a lot more at 2+ inches so maybe that is why your seeing some issues.

Yeah but like mentioned before wouldnt the extended knuckles bring it right back to" factory" height. Then just like adding a level kit on a stock truck ie bilsteins. Hopefully War Machine doesnt buy this 3500 and can give some insight to these uca's. Then again on the other hand id trade mine in on 2500 blacked out Cummins. Wish I came out before I purchased mine.

I read somewhere that one of the changes for 2013 were "stronger ball joints that were designed to retain grease better" or something like that. Apparently, there were some unintended consequences for modders.

To be complete honest the upper control arms are actually designed perfect compared to some. they allow for a pretty far droop most trucks with the lifts would have uca to strut bucket contact already. Now if they only designed the ball joint to support it.

Keeping it for now. I told them what I wanted as a payment and if they went above that I'd walk. They went above by $15 so I bailed. We'll see if they are calling my bluff since it's the last day of the month

in my issue, the ball joints are fine....they came pout of the upper control arm. i think the control arm is to blame in my situation.
