After having the bilsteins on for about 2500 miles the factory balljoints are starting to make a popping sound when I turn. Gonna order some MOOG upper control arms soon. Was hoping the factory joints would have lasted a little more than just 2500 miles. But o well.

On a side note. While installing the bilsteins I couldn't separate the upper balljoint. What are some tricks to getting it to separate for when I replace them?

Soak with WD 40 about an hour before you go to separate it and then hit the spindle knuckle where the ball joint sits with a dead blow hammer. Works 99.99999% of the time lol. And yes Ram says don't do this bc you need to use their special tool. Myself and I'm sure tons of others have always done it that way and never had an issue. Just hit it hard don't be shy about it lol

Bottom line is the factory ball joints used are junk. So getting better quality isn't a bad idea.

Iggy did you have them at 2.1 or 2.8?

Wondering the same thing. Read where folks have had no issues at 2.1", but then again there are a few who say the same thing at 2.8". Maybe it's all a roll of the dice.
