Hey all,

1500CC towing a 7K lb trailer. Got the e-rated tires, which was an immense upgrade, and the airbags are doing their job, but the OEM shocks just can't handle that much weight effectively.

Looking at KYB, Bilstein (which, I think, is out of stock EVERYWHERE), ProComp, Rancho......Am I missing any worth a look?

Any opinions? I'm not against buying a set of four which also raises the truck a bit, but I'm mainly concerned with better dissipation while towing.

TIA

Bilstein 5100 up front, maybe rear, or Monroe Sensatrac I believe they're called. They're coil overs that behave like a helper spring.

I'm guessing your already using a weight distribution hitch?

Yes - I'm also getting an extended drop shank, as no matter how I configure it my trailer ass end is down, but my OE shank is already at the bottom of it's adjustability.

Well, just like always, I got impatient and ended up making the purchase.

Got a Curt drop shank and Bilstein 4600's all around (no 5100's - no plans on lifts).

I will update once the I complete install and get the trailer out for a spin.
