Any updates on the mevotech control arms? I leveled my 14 ram 1500 and I'm having issues with my upper ball joints, trying to figure out the best control to order

I just installed my level and ended up putting the Mevotech uppers in just in case.

I know there are forum members that have run them for upwards of 20k so far leveled without issue (2.8").

I know of at least one forum member that had his mevo ball joints fail within 48 hours. I attribute that to installation angle, installing on the wrong side, over-torquing the balljoint nut or not enough grease. Hell it could be any number of things -- maybe just a bad part.

Either way, I say go for it. If you have some cash you wanna throw around, the zone uca's are good as well.

I just installed the Mevotech... 80 for both... worth the upgrade cost and much better than stock IMO. FYI - I'm at 2.8 on the Bils in the front and wasn't having any major issues with the stock ones for 30k miles until I reamed the crap out of a curb making a U-turn.

If you really want to beef it up look at the Zone UCAs they are heavy duty...I am very happy with them! You also get what you pay for with these!

I'd propose ReadyLift UCA's. Yes, it's expensive, but worth it
Mevotech is a crap I will never buy again...

We will not have ball joint issues. Supposedly they add travel on the droop also.

I am at 2.1 level. How would I know if I am having ball joint issues? Handling? Sound?

The stock ball joints can pull out of the stock arms at full droop, they weren't designed for the new geometry of a lift or leveling kit. Aftermarket ones are stronger and correct the geometry issues by repositioning the ball joint or if unibal they just allow more movement.

I am also very happy with my Zone UCAs...Bils set at 2.1 in front as well....these arms are designed for the lifted and leveled vechicle...I also like that they are greaseable and replaceable....I was leary in going with the uni-ball especially with all the salt being used on the roads in the northeast...I even read some reviews in which some installs were making irritating squeaking noises with the uniball.....the great thing is if We ever have a problem we can just replace the balljoint for a reasonable cost and unit is as good as new!
