Yea I put them at the 2.1 setting, that way the dealer wont be mad at me and it'll keep my warranty intact.
The tires are Toyo AT2 extremes in 34x11.50, wheels are 17x8.5 (i think, maybe 8.0) with a 0 offset so it comes about an inch or so outside the fender and have PLENTY of clearance going lock to lock. Didnt rub even articulated when it wasnt leveled, but lets not tell the lady that :happy107:

ALL DONE!!!

Looks fantastic.

Pretty rough ride from what i remembered and kinda clunky over frost heaves, but assume its just settling. Took it around the block and then re checked all the torque setting and all is where it should be and the strut tower is facing the right direction. Gonna get an alignment and if it still have problems i will take it back down.

Thanks for the help fellas!!

I did the work on a very slightly not-flat ground so my measurements are kinda funky, but did the measurements in the same spot so it should all be relative (and 3/4 tank of gas)

RF: 37.0

LF 37 1/8

LR: 40 3/16

RR: 39 3/4

NEW:

RF: 39 1/4

LF: 39 1/4

got tired and wanted a beer so i did not measure the rears lol

Here is a before and after, lighting is kinda odd today and the "after" pic is kinda dark:

Looks good. Take a pic of your front shock.

These are all driver side. Full lock with wheel turned right, then turned left. 3rd is a pic of just the strut assembly. Then an upward pic of the strut tower showing it facing out

Looks good to me. If it was the original shocks, it will probably be more rough, as you know. Mine rides like a champ after a few days. Keeps us posted

I had the same issue when I did mine Thursday, we just pressed forward without worrying about the pins. Didn't have any issues.

Same here just did it on 09 last night. It was a *****. The drivers side went pretty easy but then I got to the passenger side the shock mount bolt had seized to the bushing. Hours of beating on it and couldn't get it so I took the angle grinder and cut the fork on the old strut then ordered a new bushing kit from KYB. When it came to doing the back I had to cut a 21mm wrench in half and use that to be able to get the back bolts loose. I think engineers of these can be some real asshats. Since my Dad is not setup with aggressive tires and such I just put him at the TRX level and he will be getting an alignment in a few days.

If you run into the same problem as I did you may want to plan ahead and buy these you can always return if you do not use.

Figured out my problem. Turns out the directions I was using had the incorrect order for the hardware. I have the washer just below the nut, rather than under the top plate as it should. Fml

Well, let this be a lesson to all those future DIY installers: cross check directions.

You are not the first one to do that and I'm sure you won't be the last.

Agreed. Just really bummed as after seeing how it turned out i was REALLY excited to get it aligned and start driving it again. I guess i can wait another week, but its just staring me in the face! :roflsquared:

The bright side of this is that it should go rather quickly now that you know what to do and expect.

True that! And I REALLY get to know my truck a bit better. I could probably do this all again in well under 5 hours at this point for both sides since all the rusted crap is gone
