why only a 6 inch lift????

I have a 6 inch BDS suspension lift with 37 inch mickey thompson tires. I'm wanting to go bigger than a 6 inch, but i am frustrated to find that a 6 inch is the only thing on the market. Why is this? Surely there is a way?! Any help on this. I know I am not alone on this.

You could add a 3" inch body lift to your current set up.

Market driven as well. If you want more lift, go ahead and get a 3" body lift as well. I think too, many manufacturers only make 6" lifts because of bumper height laws.

Didn't someone have a Bulletproof lift at Sema that was a 12 inch suspension lift? The owner posted in the lifted pics section . The brand Bulletproof ain't cheap either. They range from $10k and up. Gotta pay to play I guess.

I know I can do a 3 inch body lift and I'm planning on doing that in a couple of weeks. my question was mainly for suspension lifts. its sounds pretty dumb that there is only a 6 inch suspension lift on the market for a 1500, but you can get a 12 inch suspension lift for a 2500. i looked at bulletproof suspensions, but they are only for 2500 and 3500 trucks. I would like to run a 40inch tire when my 37's wear out. very disappointed!

Yeah, I know how you feel. It's kinda annoying seeing all these toyota with 20" lifts and most don't even off road. (Hawaii).

I hear ya. I was wonderin the same thing. I would love a 10" lift. I'm sitting with a 6" zone with 5" rear coils and bilsteins at 2.1 and wish I was taller. Once I put my Westin steps on it really lowered the appearance of the truck. I've been considering a body lift but hate the finished appearance of the hitch. Plus with running 20x12 -44 and a 13.5" wide tire my truck can't flex too much without contacting the front bumper. Approach clearance has been fine after removing the air dam but I could use another 3" of vertical clearance.

The other thing to think about, assuming you're in a 1500?, that's a lot of drop brackets for the front diff and there's a lot of other things you'll need to address that'll make that 2-3k 6" lift jump closer to 6-7k range. I'd have to imagine there's not a whole lot of market for something like that for lift height. Now if you really want to get crazy, swap a solid axle up front, run some nice King Coilovers and run a multilink system like the 2500s. Then you'll have yourself any lift height you want!

I think I seen on here before a guy talking about a 8in full throttle suspension lift don't know if there any good or how's the quality tho

why only a 6 inch lift????
