Okay so I am looking into a 3" body lift on top of my 8" suspension lift. My question is would 40x15.5R22's fit with a 22X14 -76mm back spacing without rubbing? I figure go big or go home. I would be looking at running 4.88 gears with those also. I do know the gears won't fit in the stock axles. :********:

I have thought about going up to 46" tires but I still need to be able to climb in the truck. I got blown up a couple times in the war and I don't bend or move as easy as I use to. As I sit now it's 9" taller than stock and with a 3" body and 40's I will be 14.5" taller than stock height. If I ran 46's I would need to go with a 14" lift probabily and that would be way too much for me to climb in.

never to high. have some custom steps made that when you open the door they lower to make it easier to get in. There problem solve 54's here you come.:roflsquared:

I'm pretty positive there's no way you could run that setup. Height - yes, width - no. Maybe you could with a 22x12.

That would look awesome though.

Nice I might have to look into finding wheels I like in that size. It looks like I might be paying off the truck here in a few months so the mods should really start to pick up for me :)

Do you think the Super Swamper M16 40x14.5R22's on a 22x12 wheel work?

It's hard to know for sure if we can clear 40s with a 3" body. I've thought about it on many occasions. With the 1.25" body I should be able to clear 38s and in theory with a 3" then 40s. I just don't know or have heard of anyone doing it yet, so you might be leading the pack on that. I actually jumped the gun saying height would be ok. It may take some minor bumper trimming worse case, but you could probably fit that setup.

I'm lucky and I have time till I get my "Overhaul" when I leave Alaska. I hope to put the truck in the shop right after the body lift for the custom paint then throw the new wheels and tires on then. If the 40's will not fit I might just stick with 38's to be safe. I will have to read some more and talk with zone to see if they think the 40's would fit. I don't mind being a guinea pig either. :)

yes the m16 40x14.5's require a min of 22x11 wheel. Have you seen the new fuel wheel that adictive desert design has with the functional beadlocks.:********:

found the picture of the wheels

I like those. I was thinking about going with a wheel with a bead locker or one with a serious deep lip.

Yeah I am going to try to get the truck to Sema in 2013 or 2014. After talking with zone they really like that idea also. I thought about the 1.25" lift but with the 3" body lifts I have seen in the 4th gens look good. I hope that I get it all figured out and finished before the wife kills me with the money I am spending.

Those wheels look awesome.

If you aren't set on the power boards, no doubt get a 3" body. That's what really held me back. Then again you may come across a shop that could fab them to work with a 3" body too. You just never know.

I actually have been leaning toward painted to match N-Fab step rails. I think I am going to wait on those till I go to paint the truck because if I get them painted to match now I will have to repaint them silver later.

Just a little idea of the paint job it will be black on top. Silver/ gray color on the bottom with a red wave in the middle about as wide as the headlights and tail lights. Inside the red wave will be fish skeletons in the silver/gray color so from a distance you can't see the fish until your up close. I will pair it up with that fish grille I found and I hope to get the guy that did headhunters truck to paint mine.

I'm excited and the cool thing is the insurance will help me pay for the custom paint job because of me living in Alaska.

Man that would be sick. I love airbrushed work. Certainly wouldn't be cheap, but that's awesome insurance would take part in helping to cover the cost for it.

The N-fab are my second choice to the power boards. They tuck under pretty close so they are hardly noticeable.

Yeah I do like the Power amps but I am playing around the idea of a rock crawler/ with extended fender look. I have thought about buying the fiberglass fenders off the ram runner kit.

those fenders would look badass on your truck. Check out are vendor add they are making big names in the aftermarket industries. There bumper and steps are sweet. I havent pick up a magazine lately without seeing an ad for them.
