Im no expert but i believe a +12mm offset wheel would require a thicker spacer , as the +mm offset moves the mass of the wheel inboard .so correct me if im wrong. with this set up could you go with +12 offset wheels to avoid spacers and still not rub

A - mm offset moves the wheel mass outboard .
With stock wheels like mine ( 20 X 9 ) with 4.5" backspacing / 0 mm offset the fear with the 35 " tire is rubbing on the inside wheel well , which is why I would require a 10 mm spacer to move the O.D. of the 35" tall tire 10 mm further away from my inside wheel wells at full right & left hand turns to keep from rubbing .
Hope this helps & someone please correct me if I'm wrong [emoji38]

Do you have 20X9 s or 20 x8s ?I was under the assumption stock offset was +19. That's why I went with +12 while still positive just less than factory. But with that being said I don't know squat about offsets that's why I'm asking. Lol [emoji12]

My stock chrome clads are 20 X 9 s with 4.5" backspacing therefore having a 0mm offset , I believe there are 4 diff stock wheel configurations on the 1500s maybe more .
There is a thread here that has GREAT information about offset & backspacing and such with a really good explanation.
I'll post it up.in a few , got a find it .
Found it ! Just scroll down a bit for the wheel Offset & backspacing information.

Ha ha , not sure I'm helping ?Yep that's where I got my info from. It says under the stock wheel configuration section the 20x9 wheels are +19 offset or 5.75 back spacing. And I have the 20x9's. Now I'm really confused I would like to figure it out before I bite the bullet and order some wheels. Thank you for helping your info forces me to double check everything so I don't screw it up

Now I'm questioning what my wheels Offset are I asked the Svc mgr @ my dealer ( probably my first mistake lol )
he said right away without hesitation and I quote " your wheels are 9" wide with 4.5" backspacing " he went on to say see how your tires stick out a little and aren't tucked in (I said yep ) that s because you have Zero inset at 4.5" backspacing on your 9 " wide wheel .
Hell , I took that to heart about 3 yrs ago and have been confident on my wheel specs Untill now

So , if I purchased another 9" wide wheel that actually does have 0mm offset (4.5" backspacing ) and run the same stock tire I have now then my tires would stick out approximately 1.25" more than they do now ?Your wheels don't have 4.5" backspacing lol. He was wrong. Like said above the stock 20x9's have +19.05mm offset which is basically 5.75" backspacing.
To the person asking about +12mm ofseet wheels. It "should" I put in quotes because I can't guarantee that offset will work with 35x12.5 tires but doing the math it looks like it should
