How much will I notice power loss if I go from stock tires to the 10 ply duratracs? Will the truck feel more sluggish or barly notice?

Still undecided weather to get the e rated or sl rated like the stock tires. I have not punctured the sl on the trails so far so not sure.

You'll notice some slight slowness off the line.

You don't need a 10 ply unless you will be towing close to your axle weight rating.

I run 10 plys since I work construction and tow a trailer. Im not worried about loss of power.

If you stay with stock size you will notice a very small difference. I wouldn't worry bout it tho.

:) As long as you stay with the SAME SIZE TIRE--you won't notice a difference, but-

If you increase the tires ACTUAL diameter-then you easily notice a loss of power

Although if the tire is advertised as SAME SIZE, there may be a SIGNIFICANT WEIGHT INCREASE, then you MAY notice a small loss of power, but-

It's subjective and dependent on your diff. gearing !

Many different factors--not simple !

Good luck

Do you haul or tow a load that would require an E rated tire?

No i don't. But the truck drives better to me with them as opposed to the squishy P rated tires.

Outlaw, better in what sense? How was mpg affected? I'm going to same size tires soon.

Truck feels more solid on road. Stock tires just seem too light duty. Mpg is about the same

I get a chuckle out of some people that have 10 ply, LT tires on their Ram and don't even need them.
The more heavier tire just adds to the unsprung weight=loss in power.
But hey, being cool matters.

Exactly, stock tires suck that they put on these trucks they are just to light and would be better suited for a car..

I mean most people buy a truck to use as a truck and need a tire that can handle heavy loads even if it is just from time to time. Plus you will get a more planted feel from a better tire and they are also less prone to punctures.
it cracks me up to see people buy trucks then never use them as a truck, might as well save money and buy a car..lol

I'm always on logging jobs so I need more than a P rated car tire.

I was considering e rated because I do some off-roading to get to my hunting spots and I hear the e is more puncture resistant
