Maybe I should attempt a DIY job on the Fogs???

...since a set of replacement TYC's are only $68/pair

Its not like I would be worried about screwing up an $800 set of heads

I was thinking about doing the same thing. Retro in a set of Matchbox projectors and paint the reflector bowls. I figure if I could handle the headlight opening the fogs should be easy. I think I might wait it out for a bit though and see what JJ comes up with for the LED direct fits he mentioned on another thread. Interested to see what the difference in output will be between the LED's and 35w HID's?

I would love to send in my projectors to get blacked out, but I don't have another vehicle to drive while the headlights are shipped. Def in my plans eventually

I did notice one thing on the cutoff in JJ's pictures on the first post, The 10th picture shows a nice crisp cutoff on the lights. I installed mine and i noticed last night that there is 2 different areas that step down. is there any way to adjust side to side? I know up and down. I will see if I can find the pic of what I am saying. The adjusters seem to be east to turn, any ideas?

Jeremy what size LED halo is required on the 13+ Projectors, if I want an angel eye around the projector?

80, 90 or 100 will fit.

Are these sealed the same as the OEM's JJ? Permaseal is a real ******!

Still permasealed, but not as horrid as the OEMs.

I used 90mm on mine. They unfortunately don't seem to be holding up so well though. One of them has already lost about a third of the LED's. Not sure if it's the cold or having them run constant when the HID's are on? I've heard they can be kinda sensitive to both extremes.

Mine are the previous gen Morimoto's though so maybe the current production are a less sensitive?

Its the heat. Really best to have them off when the HIDs are on.

Fogs are fun! They......need a bigass hole cut to fit projectors in them (09-12 1500s that is)

We can provide new lights as well. ;)

Thanks JJ. I plan on opening them up again in the spring and either replacing the halos or going another route. I'll be in touch when the time comes for replacement parts. Is it difficult to get the halos to shut off when the low beams fire up? I think you set up BlackRamHemi's demon eyes that way?

Mike's setup has that built into the demon eye.

I know how to do it via a 5 pin relay....just trying to find the simple picture that shows it. lol

the hardest part is just knowing where stuff goes.....the grounding and running to the battery, thats the cake part there.

True, when I ran my air horn on the bike finding out what goes where was the fun part, as you said ground and power were the easy ones.

Thanks JJ! That doesn't look too bad. Might be fun trying to wire it all up and keep it neat looking though. I still have the relay harness from my HID kit that I never used because the CANBUS adapters came out that I could probably butcher for parts.
