I'd like to buy a set of 20" ram rims (used locally), and am wondering what size tire would be a match to my current stock 2016 1500 17" (265/70R17)?

I read somewhere that I need to try and keep the overall diameter the same so that the speedo/odometer read correctly? Does 275/55R20 sound like it is as close as I could get? What would be the effect if I went to a 60 ratio tire with a taller overall diameter.

Sorry for all the questions, as I'm new to buying rims and tires

Both are the oem sizes for the truck

Edit: my speedo is off 3.5 mph at 65 according to my GPS on my phone

I'm guessing that if you had stock 20s when the truck was bought, then the PCM is programmed for that. In the case that you go from a stock 17s to stock 20s, then the speedo will read incorrect without getting the PCM reprogrammed. Does that sound right? Also, does this effect odometer mileage being inaccurate?

not enough to really matter, the 17" is like 32" and the 20s are 33" thats why its off and you would have to get the dealer to program the different tire
