Hey guys. New to the forum. I have searched the forum and couldnt quite find the answers I am looking for so I am posting here.

I just purchased a 2012 Ram 2500 SLT. It did not come with foglights and I would like to install some. Has anyone installed any in the spots left for the tow hooks? Any ideas.

Thanks

I had though of mounting a set of lights where the tow hooks were.
But it seemed silly to remove the tow hooks for lights.

My plans are to use HELLA lights in the bumper opening (at some point) or get a light bar with 4 lights on it.

I have a parts # list that I got off off mopar website and checked with a couple of mopar vendors websites and everything matched up but a few people on CF who bought the fog light jumper wire said it was the wrong one. I did this on my 2012 1500 slt with no problems. I'm not sure if the others fully understood how it connects to the tipm. This is on my list of things to do but keep buying other parts

Welcome to RF, you might have to do some modifying like cutting on the other side of the tow hook.

Thanks for the messages.

WhiteExpress- that is what I was leaning towards doing as well. It just seems like the easier solution.

1500ram2012- I came across your post regarding the install of the foglights. Do you have a ballpark estimate of what that cost you? It seems like once you get the new bumper, fogs, brackets, etc. that it would be pretty costly.
