Guys,

Gathering all the components from Jeremy at RetroShop to do the morimoto conversion and will need to get rid of the stock lamps in the fogs.

Anyone running any LED type bulbs and having good experiences (bright, no errors, fitment, etc.)?? Or am I just going to have to go with some Philips, ZXE, Silverstar bulbs to get rid of the yellowish tint that won't match the Halogens at all?

I have the sylvania and they look great I recommend them.

But if you want Led's I've heard opt7 work great and give good output

The XML2s we carry kick ass too!

https://shop.retroshop.us/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=XML2

wait....16 lol. Honestly, I'm not 100% sure they'd work on a 16 - some are freakin' turds about fogs too. I know on our LED fogs for the heavy duty.....a resistor is needed per side (well, 2)

I hear ya on the 16'. That's what I've been seeing here lately. Those resistors that come with the switchback 3157.. they work ok on the 16'? Any complaints or "Bulb Out" error messages?

I bought a set of LED tail lights from fleabay that had resistors on them. My truck still didn't like it... got the bulb out error on the dash. Had to return them.. was driving me nuts.

As far as the fogs.. I'll probably go with some Sylvania Ultra or ZXE's

the resistors on the 3157 are different than what the fogs would use.....

Fog Lights

I found some replacement bulbs for my 15'. They are just plug and play into the fog light socket. They are more flood, then spot, and are bright. Good look at night, but ironically I still need to get the upper lights switched. The whole headlight assemblies are in my Amazon Cart waiting purchase.

The fog lights have not given error message, or burned anything out.
Let me see if I can find style/type in my purchases.

Okay, I checked.....
On Amazon, search 2013 - 2016 Dodge RAM 1500, 2500, 3500 HD Heavy Duty White LED Exterior Light Kit (Fog, Reverse/Backup, Cargo, License plate Light Bulbs). Or something similar. They came in the set, and switched out all bulbs. This was prior to my buying the smoked LED Tail Lights and Third Brake light. But they did the job...and Fog lights are still shining!

I got some Putco LED's and they came pretty close to matching my Morimoto HID's I got from JJ.
