I will first apologize if there is somewhere that someone has this posted. Looked but was not successful.

I have a 2015 RAM Express and am looking for some nice rims. I am looking at staying with the 20" as they are the largest rims you can get Drag radials for.

looking to know what the MAX offset I can use to get them as far under the truck without rubbing. Checked with some rim places but they only give the generic conservative answer. They are at a max of a -44 offset and wondering if I can go more that that. Any info on the subject would be great. The rim size I am looking at is 20/12 -44 off set for the rear and 20/10 -44 for the front.

Can I go more offset of are they going to rub.. Thanks guys

-44 offset pushes the wheels wayyyy out away from the truck.

With 20's on the truck, the stock offset is a +19. So that means you'd be pushing the wheels out almost 2.5" from where the stock ones sit now if you go to a -44 offset wheel.

-44 or more will put a significant strain on the hub and/or bearings, especially when a load is put on the truck or towed from behind.

I'd pull it in a bit say to a 0 or -12 to -18. You'll want flares too with that offset.

Good luck.

Thank you for the info. So based on what you are saying I would need to go with a positive offset to bring the wheel under the truck more. Is that correct?

Correct but you can't go too far in otherwise you'll rub so a +30mm offset would be just a bit much, especially if you go with a wider section width tire.

With a stock 19mm offset you have some room to go either way.

Here is a pic that shows the differences in + & - offset.
