Have a 17 3/4 ton with 6.4L engine. Side of door states 60 psi front, 80 psi rear. Seems odd. Same tires front and back. I put them at 70 psi all around for now until I get more information. Are the 3/4 and 1 tons like this?

Yes. The 80 psi is for towing in the rear of these trucks. I run mine 70 in all unless I'm towing then I bump them up to 80 in the rear.

60 front, 50 rears when empty. Just ignore the idiot light. Rides much better, tires wear better..

60 front/50 rear is what I run with light load setting on, rides great, 80 in the rears is overkill unless you're towing heavy.

@Dmopar74 and ram-engineer...i have a '17, 2500, 6.4 hemi, longhorn larime, 4x4 ...in my old "03 CTD i ran procomp MT's and loved them...now 4 wheel parts will NOT install my 305/70/18 because of manufacturer suggestion 80 psi tires and they are 65psi..WTF everyone is so scared these days of law suits..any way I'm not concerned about running 65psi (their max) but I am concerned about payload..the procomp is a Load E and 3750lb payload per tire and my stockers are load E with 3640lb...so if unless im missing something the procomp can hold more weight ....I've called procomp and they where scared to say that I could run them but reassured me that they could go on a 25000 and hold the weight..I called dodge and tech said that he doesnt recommend 65psi tires ...lame O...I know I'm going to have to get speed O meter adjusted and probably tire senor gauge thing adjusted.... my question is how much payload do you guys carry and any issues with lower PSI tires...( i sometimes put a pallet of sod in the back 3000lbs.)
Thanks

I got your 3000lbs covered, never a problem. In fact my 305s held the weight much better over my stock tires

I was running 70 all around until the temps started dropping. Now I'm running about 60 all around right now. It's hard to nail it down with the huge temp fluctuations we have here in VA. The TPMS light can be adjusted so that it does not come on. There are a could of guys here that I'm sure will chime in shortly.
