The plastic bumper on my 13 doesnt provide very much protection. I know that an aftermarket steel bumper would but I love the full chrome one piece bumper on the 2500s. This is my first Thread on my first forum. So I would love any and all feedback. The picture I have attached is of 13 Mopar Power Ram. It has the 13 grill which has a dip at the bottom, and the 2500 bumper, and the key piece of the puzzle that i dont know what to call, the piece under the lights... Can it be done...

Well that piece under the bumper is known as the lower air dam.

I've only seen one bumper swap and it was on a 09-12 1500 and that took a lot of work.

To my knowledge he had to do a lot of fab work to make it fit right.

The piece under the lights and over the bumper, its like a gap filler. I went to te original web page from the picture and it says ram owners can order one from the mopar catalog, but cant believe everything you hear, nor can find it in a mopar catalog.

That filler is available for sure. I had to replace one on a 2010 2500 a couple weeks ago. Our parts guy had I tough time finding it and had to call the dealer

The filler for a 2500 does not dip down next to the headlight the above pictured.
The 2500 bumper looks pretty trick on the 1500!

This is NOT a bolt on modification, at all.

Yeah that filler looks like they modified it to fit a 1500 grille. As far as the bumper goes, It can be done, but with a lot of work.

Caption from under the picture, Quoted from Tom's Top Twelve From SEMA 2012

"Ram fans got some serious eye candy with the Mopar Power Ram. The vehicle is based on a new Ram 1500 that's accessorized with items from the Mopar catalog.

These include a Mopar 3-inch lift kit, a bed step and a folding tonneau cover. A Warn winch rides on the front bumper. Mickey Thompson tires on DOT-compliant Hutchinson beadlocks complement the aggressive Raptor-esque bed graphics. It's a package that the Ram-owning enthusiast can realistically duplicate themselves."

I wonder if it's just brackets that need to be fabed up or if things need moved. I would like to put a 2500 bumper on my 1500 but have it body matched

It would be easier on you '09 because you can just order the plastic pieces under the headlights to fill up to the 2500 grill.

I dunno how it'd fit with a 1500 grill though.

Fab fours has a bumper that will work, if you choose that I would recommend the regular or pre runner. The full wrap is a monster, it is what I have. Have you seen the chrome bumpers on the 1500's?

Burla's Fab 4 bumper

The chrome one I replaced.

I also agree with the fab fours front bumper. You can probably get it in bare steel if you prefer that look. I'd be careful with the upkeep of bare steel though.
