Yeah, another fender flares thread...

Heres what I'm trying to figure out when it comes to the flares I wanna buy. I've heard the Powerwagon flares have a textured feel to them, however I can't seem to find a picture of them to see what the texture is like. So, can anyone here kinda describe it? Is it like bedliner texture or something smoother like a pebble texture? I've searched aftermarket and NOBODY has just an OEM textured flare, they all have rivets and I don't want to that. To go through the dealership they are like $475. So, I was thinking of getting a smooth set and sparaying bedliner on them if that is what the Powerwagon flares are like. Any help would be appreciated... Otherwise I guess I'll just fork over the almost $500 for the actual Powerwagon flares, unless someone wants to sell theirs? Or knows where I can get them cheaper...

Usually both the 1500 and 2500s use same fender flares. I bought mine from a friend that had a '14 2500 and I installed them on my 12 ram 1500, they fit perfect. A good place to look is craigslist and i know there are some sellers on ebay that sell oem dealership takeoffs.

Depends on the trim level Power wagon laramie gets painted flares, plain power wagon get raw textured plastic flares.
Texture is similar to plain(not painted) black door handle or the texture of the plastic rambox covers if that helps. I'd say its the OEM pebble textured finish you see on most exterior plastic fender flares had the same on my 96 Dakota. May be a slight bit finer than flares on our Jeep wrangler. Hope that helps.

I'm going to have my stock flares for sale once my bushwacker flares come in and I get them painted. Should be about a weeks time. Heres a pic. If you're interested, PM me and we'll work something out -

2500 and 1500 factory flares are actually a bit different as well, the bumper is higher up on a 2500 so if you look at that pic above, theres only a slight amount of flare after that indent, the 1500 goes abit further down
