Hello all, first post, long time reader of this site.

Anyway looking at geolander a.t. 285 70 17 with the stock 5 spoke rims. Anyone running this size? I'm not leveled yet but will be installing bils at 2.1 sometime in the future.

I was going to put these tires before the bils if I can, I know this is the same size as the rebels, but the rebel rims offset is 18 mm, mine is 25, and also not sure if suspension is different on the rebel.

This is also close to the stock 20inch wheel size(33)but again a different offset .

I have a stock laramie 2014 no lift with base model stock 17 inch aluminum, 285 70 17 will fit, no trimming etc. 285 70 17 is smaller than 275 60 20 by just a wee bit neglecting tread differences/ tire manufactures / etc.

The rebel's 17's are 8 inches wide vs the 7 of the stock rim... so even if the offset decreases The 7 inch at 25 will still have more clearance between UCA etc.

1 inch = 25.4 mm => /2 for both halfs of width off center line.= 12.7 >>(25-18)=7mm

~5.7 mm further away from inner suspension components.

"Most" 285's are not rated for a 7 inch rim. But i run it anyway. Less chance of popping a bead when airing down as well as rim protection. You "May" end up wearing the center more than the edges. Again, i'd do it.

Thanks man I appreciate the response.
I was wanting to go with 285/75/17 but right now Yokohama geolanders are priced at $135 (us) for the 285/70/17 . so that's what I'm going to get and save the extra money for speaker upgrade .
