Posting for a buddy...

He has a 2015 Express 1500 4wd with the stock 20s. He's looking to upgrade the tires and is wondering what it will take to fit a 305/55. The truck currently has a 2" level.

I've searched quite a bit and haven't been able to find a real definite answer. Some say a spacer is required because of the stock wheel offset. If so, what size spacer is needed?

Could you get by with a 295/60 and no spacer?

Thanks in advance!

A lot of people are running 295 65 20 on the stock 8 Inch rims. Thats a 35" tire. Its really the width you need to worth about. 305/55 is 12" wide which would most likely rub without a spacer.
295/60 would definitely work without a spacer.

I ran factory 20s with 305/55-20 duratracs with no rubbing and no wheel spacers for the past 1-1/2 years, just had 2" level like your buddy.
