Hey guys,
First and foremost, I apologize if this topic has already been addressed elsewhere but here it goes;
In about a week, I will be lifting my 2017 Ram 1500.
4in Rough Country suspension lift (not 6in for parking/garage reasons)
I'm going to also put on some new tires, Nitto terra g2s. Either 33 or 35.
I'm going to stick with my stock wheels (20in) for a while because I actually don't mind them at all.
My question is whether I should go with the 33in or 35in tires.
I like the look of the 35's better and I know they will be a little better for offload but I've heard that 35's cause a bit more wear and tear on your truck among other things. I've also read that I may need to re-gear my truck if I put on 35s? I currently have the 3.91 gear ratio. Is this good for 35s? Or will I need to re gear. Also, will it really hit my MPG as much as people make it seem?
I would love to hear about your pros and cons and preferences when it comes to 33 vs 35 in tires. Thanks!
