Hey everyone,

Installed my 5100s at 2.8 with a 1.5” rear coil spacer. Drove to Firestone and had my 35x12.5x20 Nitto g2 mounted on my stock rims. While driving to Firestone on stock tires truck drove straight. As soon as I had the new tires and alignment done it pulls hard to the right. Alignment shop said must be the tires, too bad. Any idea what I could do to fix this?

Tell those "knowledgeable people at Firestone" to redo it cause it didn't come in like that so its on them.

People need to stop taking their trucks to chain repair shops that suck, then complain about quality of services, find a reputable mom n pop shop that's been around for decades. They will treat you right and fix your **** the first time. Good luck bud, sorry your having troubles.

alignment must be off. did they give you the print out of the alignment specs before and after? I also agree with SYKRAMMAN, those chain places do not have the best of staff usually

Have you checked tire pressure and adjusted them accordingly? Too much air can cause flighty steering and pulling.

Mine did the same, same tires and all. I went to 3 different shops had aligned and the computer said it was perfect. I cross rotated, re balanced and road force balanced, everything. I was almost ready to give up.

I took the truck back to the shop thats attached to my dealership, drove onto the alignment rack and did a test with all 4 tires on the ground under weight. My driver side tire toe in was off by 2.5 degrees! When following the machines prompts it tells you to lift the front end so the tires are in air, as soon as we did that the machine showed the tires were dead on perfect. We dropped it on its weight and the 2.5 came back! So under full weight we did the alignment and now it drive straight.

Long story short, something about the bilsteins confuses the specs of these alignment machines.

I thought alignments were always done with the weight of the vehicle? I haven't been to an alignment shop for awhile.

Firestone told me they don’t know how to adjust the caster. I’m going to take it to the next firestone as I know they have the updated alignment rack and I can have them check... caster is adjusted between the 2 cam bolts on the lca... and I’m not an alignment specialist. I even checked and they only adjusted the front lca bolt on both sides
Edit: lifetime alignment was 180$ at firestone. 1 non warrantied alignment from 4wheel parts was 190$... those are my only 2 options except for dealership

Probably a bad alignment coupled with those tires having a right hand pull to them, take it back.

Easiest way to find out if it's the tires is to rotate them and see if the truck still pulls to the left.

This similar situation happened when I had my Sierra years ago. I had a leveling suspension on there and when the alignment shop did lifted to do the alignment it looked great, on the floor it was garbage. From then on, they told me to call around and ask for places that do floor alignments since they were not equipped. \

Most reputable places should have an idea if you float those words around and tell them you have a lift and had issues. If they dont know what you are talking about find another place lol
