I'm planning on getting the zone 6 inch lift with the 3 inch rear coils on my 1500 and trying to decide on 35s or 37s if anyone has some photos or advice they can share.

I have a 6" lift and am considering moving from 35's to 37's on my 20's. It is going to be a close call as far as rubbing goes on the turn and I am going to have to take accurate measurements to be sure. Your offset might be a determining factor. I'm a -44. If your offset is not that aggressive, you may be ok. Ask members running this setup to post their offset and rim size as well.

35's on stock 20's with 1.5 spacers. No rubbing. Also, I'll second the 5" rear coils.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what does a 5" coil spring do vs the normal size?

Keeps the truck from Bulldogging, or in non truck guy terms, front end doesnt aim up into the sky.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the 3 inch rear with no billsteins up front would make it level and if I went with the 5 inch rear I would have to adjusted them up to make it level.

This is correct. These trucks have aprox ~3" rake. Lifting front 6" and rear 3", would get you level. 6" with 5" rear would still leave ~2" rake. Thats where you would adj bils to 2.1 or 2.8 for close to level.

So are you saying I can put Bils on my 6" lift and get rear spacers with 2 more inches on the back, then will have an 8" lift. If so, that's going on my list. I really want a couple more inches of lift, but don't want to do a body lift.

Your 6" lift is really 5.5" you can add bils in front to level the truck another 2-2.5". At this point the truck would be level. If you have rear coils and not blocks, I think you could stick a spacer back there. But, you would just be adding rake back in to the equation.

Thanks, I'll look in to this further. I am level now with the 6" lift and I have rear coils. Will be nice if this can work out and can get another 1.5" to 2" lift. My -44 wheel offset is likely going to cut it close when I move from 35's to 37's. Thanks again!

If you put additional rear spacers on a 5"coil, then your rear end will be higher giving you a good bit of rake. I did the 6"/5" Zone suspension lift with an 1.5" body lift. It's the maximum bumper height I could accomplish without breaking the state law (PA). So, be careful on just how high you want to go. I definitely wouldn't add spacers to your rear suspension. I know you said you don't want to do a body lift, but if you want more then 6", that's more than likely the way you need to go.

To the OP: If you're doing the 3" rear coils, I'd stay wit 35's. If you do the 5" coils and the Bil's at 2.1 or 2.8, go ahead and go 37's. Any idea what your tranny/gear ratio's are?

if you go 37's, is there any other items need upgrading?

Does it still drive ok with 8sp/3.92's?

The plan was to do 35s with the three inch rear and I was seeing how it would look. If I go with the 5 inch it looks like 37s would fit better. It's 3.21 I'm sure if makes a difference in tire size since you asked just not sure what it is.
