So after doing a LOT of research on what I can stuff in my wheel wells I have found exactly what I want and from everything I’ve read on this forum this setup should work, but I just want confirmation from someone before I drop 2+ grand on the setup.

My truck:
-2015 ram 1500 ecodiesel 4x4.
-Upgraded Upper control arms.
-Bilstein 2.3” lift in the front.
-1” blocks in the rear.

I want to purchase:
-20x9 wheels with a +18 offset. (Ultra Maverick wheels)
-1/4” wheel spacers
-35x12.50R20 AT tires

Will this setup work on my truck?? Everything I have read says yes I just want some reassurance!

If your going to be buying wheels... do they not make a wheel with a little lower offset? Like a +12 so you can forego the spacer? Just a thought, a 1500 guy should chime in but those tires may fit with out a spacer, but I am not sure on that.

Unless your really in love with that wheel, I would try to find a wheel with 0mm offset and forget the 1/4" spacers and just get hubcentric rings or a wheel with a hub bore of 78mm

I agree with him. Try to find a different offset to forgo the wheel spacers. I have 20x9 0mm offset which is a 5” backspacing with 35x12.50r20 NTG. My bills are set at 2.8” with no rubbing. Someone else will be able to chime in, but I believe 35” tires will only work with 2.8” on a non-lifted truck.

Thanks guys! I know I read that a 2.5” front lift will accommodate the stock 20” wheels with 35’s as long as you use a 1/4” spacers. I think I should just look into the 0 offset as you guys are saying to avoid any issues.

So my question remains is my 2.3” front lift high enough to clear 35’s? For the ecodiesel the max Bilstein lift is 2.3”.

Alrighty.. I’ve narrowed it down to 20x9 Fuel Vapor wheels at +1 offset, but I’m torn between colors..

Black vs “dark tint”.. which color do you think would look better? (My truck is granite metallic gray color)

I find black wheels look like cheap winter rims at night from a distance, or you cant see them at all.

Don't get me wrong, I like black wheels but I'd go with the tinted one.

I couldn’t agree more, even if it’s in a shadow or it’s slightly dark outside you can’t see any details on a black wheel and it just ends up looking like a black blob and you can’t differentiate between the tire and wheel. At night forget it you see nothing.

Also, Why is it that every single aftermarket wheel available for trucks are either completely blacked out or they are way too overdone and busy and have things like chrome studs on the lip of the wheel? I just don’t like how that looks at all personally and finding a more simple design was very difficult.

Go with the tint... everyone has black... I think a colored wheel looks awesome

I just found a bunch of photos of the wheels on trucks and I’m 100% going with the tinted versions.

I’m going to bring them to the tire shop and see if they can throw in 35’s next.

I’ll post photos of these on my truck once I get them installed!

Trigger has been pulled. Town fair said the wheels should be in, in 7-10 Days. Final setup was 35x12.5 tires and 20x9 1mm offset fuel vapors in tint color. I’ll post pictures here when they get installed [emoji854]

that's a much better offset, you shouldn't have any issues with that...congrats

For a while I was getting deliveries during the day so she would never see. But the pas few months UPS and FEDEX come at around 7PM so I’m busted every time now!

I have 7 days before the wheels will be installed at town fair tire so I have to come up with a good story..

Update: I told the wife. She doesn’t know the difference between wheels and tires. When I come home with them I know she’s gonna complain but she can’t say I didn’t tell her!!

Ha! I just got new tires this evening. Took a pic of some nice wheels at the tire shop. When I showed them to my wife, she asked why I didn't go ahead and get them?! Now I'm wishing I would've! But, the check book wouldn't let me. [emoji45]
