Can you fill me in a little more on this ceramic tint? I would LOVE to tint my windshield but with my 12% film film it definitely affects night driving. I had 5% film on my Lexus and what a disaster that was IMO lol. Looked great but couldn't see a dang thing at night. So literally no difference with night driving? Looks great BTW

Wow man I had no idea. I'm gunna hit my tint shop up about that for sure! Thanks for the info, and your truck is looking great brotha. Nice and clean just the way i like emThanks!
With 50% it does not affect night driving for me. If I would have gone down to 35% or 20% (like my side windows have) I would definitely have an issue. Looking out my side windows with 20% is difficult sometimes.
Ceramic tint contains ceramic particles which allows the film to cut from 45% to 50% of the solar heat that enters through the windows. It is more expensive than regular tint, but definitely worth it.
The shop I go to has this heat machine to show you the difference in the reduction of heat from ceramic tint, carbon tint, and regular tint. Carbon is the in between of ceramic and regular.

It's all about what's comfortable for you. I wish I didn't have my windshield tinted on my mustang. I have 5% on the sides and back on my mustang and 50% on the front windshield and I regret it. I hate driving at night in this thing.
When I got the truck i thought about getting 80% on the windshield.
I just got 20% on the sides and back and nothing on the front. I have no regrets not tinting the front windshield.

Interesting. Why do you regret the front windshield? At 50% I have no issues (thus far) with seeing out. I've only had it for one day, but I don't expect it to change.

Basically, it's driving down dark roads.
During the day is fine, but put me on a dark road. I hate it.

50% on the windshield is the way to go. No visibility loss at night and it significantly cuts down glare from oncoming headlights. Had it over two years now and never had a problem with the law. Oklahoma is pretty lax, though. I see guys every day running 20% or darker on their windshields...
