Anyone taken theirs off? Will it overheat if you do?

It's for aerodynamics, if you don't like it get rid of it.

Like stated above, they are purely for aerodynamics. Once I lifted my trucks, the aerodynamics are already ruined lol, so at that point they come off for more clearance [emoji1417]

Someone said it would overheat without it. I didn't think they were right, but it doesn't hurt to ask

there isnt even a logical explanation as to how it could overheat without that thing, all its there for is to help with fuel economy

I took mine off when I had a push bar on front, I did not see a difference in anything.

I had taken mine off, no engine temp difference but I have a plastic bumper which the air dam kind of keeps stable underneath so I was getting a lot of play in my bumper yeah I thought it looked way better without it but I couldn't stand hearing my bumper flopping around, I'm sure I could have rigged something up to keep it stable. And also I did probably loose 1-3 mpg without it

Rubber lip I made from garage door seal before they sold it on ebay, saw it at Home Depot one day and thought, hmmmm! I'm about to extend it.
