Was looking to get an AMP Bed Extender and was wondering if anybody had any experience with these? Seems like a pretty solid item.

I have one, its OK, slips in and out nicely. Seems good quality, but its just three aluminum tubes with heavy plastic spacers. Its got pretty good reviews in comparison with others. Takes about 15 minutes to install.

I have a short bed and I thought I was going to use it a lot more than I have.

I don't need it all the time but man it sure would come in handy when I do need it. My only fear is it not working with my tuxedo roll-up tonneu cover.

I had the AMP extender with a tonneau on my Silverado. It snaps on and off, so you don't have to roll up the cover to use it. Just unhook, flip it out, and rehook. Just noticed my 2015 Express has the holes marked already for the brackets. Will be remounting on this truck.

I use mine more for keeping stuff in the bed from sliding all the way forward than I do for extending the bed.

I'm been looking for something like this but I can't justify the expense. I'd rather make something out of square tubing.

Thats definitely a benefit, especially when out with the wife and she decides she needs to run to costco haha. Stuff starts slipping and sliding like an ice rink back there. Gotta get the bed hit with Linex as well.

I'm curious if you use this and still fit a swing box when it's inside the bed.

Right now, AMP is offering a $50 rebate on their extenders.

Love mine. Works with cover. Great for groceries and small items keeping them near tail gate when it's closed.

My wife bought me one a couple years ago. Great build quality, but my 2X8 removable with the tonneau cover down, whereas this would require me to roll up the tonneau in order to flip. So I returned it and just use my 2X8. Would be nice to have the tailgate down extension when my motorcycle is in the bed, but I usually just put the bike in at an angle and close the tailgate.

Well finally got a chance to install the oem extender. The mounting brackets were missing from the one I bought for $60 on CL.

Luckily the AMP research mounting brackets work great with the oem extender and cost less the $20

.....so screw paying $250 for a new amp extender
