I have amp. I personally hate the look of step bars and these fit the bill perfectly. They have been installed for almost a year with zero problems

I am the exact same way. I do not like the looks of a step bar on a truck, makes them look longer and lower than they are.

I really don't think a 1500 needs them myself. I have had a 1500 and think it's really not necessary unless you are 4 foot 3. :)

The powered the steps is best of both worlds for me. A leveled 2500 on 35" tires, heck even a stock height 2500 is somewhat hard to get into.

I haven't used anything but AMP, installed many sets.. and not 1 issue.

Good thing with AMP (or bad thing) is they are priced locked. But when I got mine, Amazon had a deal if you signed up for a Store Card, you got 150 off purchase over 500. I had the money, signed up, got the card, saved $150 and paid the card off before the end of the month..

I always wondered how they do in an area where there's snow. My running boards get pretty caked with slush and ice in the winter and it seems like that would jam up the Amp's...

I have had the AMP research running boards now for over 3 years. No problems. Work great. Expensive yes. I think I paid $1,500 installed (no "hook up" either). Just straight consumer price. I would recommend. People think they are sooo cool and my kids like them for climbing in the truck.

I lucked out and found a guy wanting to do even trade his AMP steps for factory chrome tube steps. He had them on his '13 for 3 over years and now they have been on mine for about 8 months or so. No issues in the sand or snow/ice. I am so spoiled now. If the failed tomorrow I'd have to replace them.

I have the Amp steps and love them. Ran across a deal on Criaglists I could refuse ;-) When they're tucked up you can't see em on my 2013 Crew Cab 4x4 :happy107: and they make getting in and out of the truck a breeze... and my hip replacements really like them

Thanks for the responses guys....order the plug and play amp kit last night. Found a decent deal on eBay...1299.00 w/free shipping. Now I have to decide if I want to do install myself of have a shop do it.

Time consuming but not hard, get to turning wrenches. You will appreciated them more.

Well, I was dead set on Amped power steps and about a month before I was going to pull the trigger, I kept seeing random trucks with the power steps stuck in the down position. After seeing like the 6th truck with stuck steps, I decided against them. Yeah, I know it wasn't a very statistical analysis, but I ended up figuring that was just one more mechanical thing to eventually break. So I ended up going with Iron Cross steps.... then the first time I took it off-road, I high-centered on the steps, lol. Still on the fence now about possibly going to Amped steps, heh...

Well UPS guy made a visit today
Now if I only had my truck...it's getting the full glasslife Atlanta treatment, lightly wet sand to remove factory orange peel, polish then several coats of their ceramic paint protection..... hopefully get it back tomorrow night or Friday morning a96a4d1e1afd82108d3c6e894fdd145e.jpg

Amp XLs

I put in amp XLs - did it myself - XLs give you a little more drop - purchased them off of Amazon
