I'm currently running 33 inch tires on a 2016 ram hemi 4wd cc 8 speed. The only engine mods are a pedal commander, magnaflow muffler, and k&n air filter. I'm satisfied with the performance so far. Truck seems to have plenty of power, tows my 3500 pound boat well, and I havent really noticed any constant downshifting, sluggish acceleration like others have with a 3.21. I love the looks of the truck, but I have been considering a 34 inch tire when its time to replace. I like the looks of the falken wildpeak atms and cooper discover. Just curious if anyone else is running a 34 inch atm tire with a 3.21? Wondering how much performance loss I may experience. Gas mileage difference? I currently am running hankook dynapro atm, I think the tires weigh 44 lbs each. The truck is leveled with bilstein's at 2.1.

I've got 275/65R20 Cooper Discoverer ATPs (34.1"), 5.7, 8 speed, Bils at 2.8 on my 14 1500. Gas mileage took a lil hit, dropped about 1-2 MPGs. I like them a lot, they run true (no wandering), have a nice aggressive lug pattern, quiet, and are claiming to be a 55000 mile tire.

The only regret I have is I probably could have gone with 35s on OEM rims if I had done a lil more research on proper backspacing and a proper width to avoid rubbing.

I'm sure plenty do. Tons of Rams around here have 35's and I highly doubt even 10% of them did a regear and I'd also assume many have 3.21's. Most people just go sweet bigger tires, throw them on, and don't worry about it. But on a message board obviously people are more picky about everything with their truck being that the found an avenue to go out and talk to everyone about it. I had 35's and 20's on my 2005 Hemi and have no idea what gearing it even had.

I have 3.21's but am still stock. I'm planning on 34-35's and doubt I'll drop 3k for gearing. The truck is already way quicker than any other truck I've owned so dropping a bit wont bother me much. I'll eventually add pedal commander, intake, exhaust, possibly throttle body, etc... so that should help.

I will however be looking for the lightest 34-35's I can find. As my 06 Silverado with a 6 inch lift had toyo MT's which are one of the heaviest tires and it was a dog compared to my Ram.

It's a little difficult to find accurate weight ratings on tires because they seem to vary from site to site. But seems that the Duratracs are one of the lighter ones. I had passenger rated Duratracs on my Dakota and they were light. But I don't know if they make the passenger in their larger sizes as the Dak had 33's with the 3.7 and weak gearing. I believe the Mastercraft Courser is also lighter than many. Jeep forums are usually good to search as they usually want lighter tires on their jeeps..

Very helpful, and I too have found that accurate tire weight is very hard to find!

The factory 275/60R20's are 33's..... 275/65R20's are 34's (exact heights may vary by tire brand.)

im ugrading to 33x12.50 20 i mean this weekend

I doubt it will make a huge difference for you. I had the 3.7 on my Dak with 33's and didn't notice much difference. And the 3.6 is much stronger than the old 3.7.

Yea I doubt it also. If anything just a touch since the 33's are more aggressive than my current a/t tires.
