Mine, similar to others above, painted the light housings to match the bumper.

Wandell..are those the nilight brand?

There are no markings on them and the Ebay auction didn't mention a brand. They arrived in a plain box with no paperwork.

Wow, great replies. Jinx, I love how it looks - I just don't think I would have enough confidence to cut into my bumper. Probably will go for the under bumper style.

I bought 2 of KC hi lite led flood lights and used a 3.5" muffler clamp spray painted black and attached them to the round tow hitch bar. Fits perfect and cheap. I then wired the lights to a switch in dash so I can turn on and off at will. Nice having a lot of light back there. Pic below

Sounds like it was an easy install, would you agree?

Im going to resurrect this a year later. How are the lights doing? I had a bunch of the nilight ones on my Wrangler but I am going to order the flush mount ones for the rear bumper.

Not a 4th gen but my E Bay lights under the bumper. And with them on in a field at work.

The ones I mounted under my bumper are still running strong. I am sure the in bumper ones are doing just as well.

The cheap Ebay LED's I installed on my Ram and our Wrangler are both holding up fine. By far the best "cheap mod" done to the vehicles.

When I was looking for back up lamps I wanted to do something that looked factory. I bought these inexpensive 4" 6 LED lamps. Then I went out and purchased a good used rear bumper-mine had a few dents- then proceeded to measure the holes to be cut. They say the first cut is the deepest so I wanted to be sure I had the measurements right. I measured them 3 times-no less. I cut them out then let the body shop paint it for me. When I got it back I used up a whole can of sprayable undercoating on the back side of the bumper so it wouldn't rust. I installed the lights with stainless Allen head bolts-anti seized all 8 so if I had to remove them they would come out easy. Next is wiring my 41" light bar that I mounted in the lower front bumper where the filler piece goes. I'm waiting for the Rigid harness to arrive then I can complete the installation. I'll buy inexspensive LED light bars all day long but when it comes to the wiring I'll spend the extra $$ for a good harness. A good harness is the difference between a fire or not!! I have plans for my Sport hood that I also bought used-$100-to be put on in the spring along with a '13+ front end. Sorry about the sideways pic of the truck but it seems no matter what I do -rotate it- it won't upload right side up.....

I forgot to include a pic of our Wrangler earlier. I know it's not a Ram but I can't stress how great of a mod that aftermarket backup lights turned out to be!

I love these rough country LEDs they're blacked out and they're very bright! 4207f140a202a9c87344dc60723465af.jpg03f6b06750059bd4a29f83cb0ec18b2d.jpg
