So I assume now that I have 35's basically, if I have a rear tire go down, I need to put the spare on the front? I have an LSD in the rear, 2WD.

Didn't read all the responses... but AAA... problem solved...

Depending on the look of the vehicle and use it would get a full size spare in either a swing away tire carrier (that's what I was going to do to my 3rd gen) and or a baja style tail gate..

If its a more sleek clean look and not the aggressive offroad look.... AAA Its just easier

I have a 315/70/17 under my truck for a spare. Thats the equivalent of a 35. Its tight, but its in there!

Im not positive, but i dont think they stock spare wheel is 17x8. I wanted an aftermarket wheel with 4.5 bs so knew it would fit front or rear on my truck. The zone lift knuckles require a 17 with 4.5" backspace to clear

Think of it this way, most cars now a days come with a donut spare. Much smaller than the standard tire. If it hurt the car than the manufacturer wouldn't sell the car that way.

I use the stock spare tire on my truck. Haven't needed it yet, but when only using it to get to the tire shop it'll be fine.

I'm the guy that bought 5 tires and rims. I have my spare in my bed with a locking tonneau, I took the factory spare off. I figure if something happens to my tires its highly possible my rim gets trashed too. I just could never bring myself to be seen with a non-matching tire/rim on my truck.

This is the way to go. No half-assin there.

I bought a tire repair kit so as long as it doesn't blow out I should be good.

From what I can tell, the Ram has a Gleason Torsen type LSD differential. If that's the case, there is no issue with driving different size tires on it.

Gleason's Impossible Differential

I will check today, but I thought the spare was a 17", if so, I can get the 315/70/17 and put on spare. I could do another in the bed, and find a way to lock it. Having a flat in the rear, then having to pull a front wheel, put on the back, then swapping sounds like a pain, rather buy another complete wheel combo.
My 2011 didn't have an LSD, so didn't think about it until yesterday on the new truck.
