have not used the blistein shocks, but i believe if you have 4x4, you can still use the 1500s. like you, i will not level and will most likely use KYB when my shocks need replacement as i prefer the stock ride.

5100 vs 4600 series

5100 has better valving, shock body and a true boot and a much softer ride feel over 4600

I want to replace my shocks/ struts

I don't want to level or raise it

I'm looking at Bilstiens:

24-187350

and

24-187343

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/bsn-24-187350/overview/

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/bsn-24-187343/reviews

I looked at vendors here first, however all I could find was leveling and raising kits

Anyone have experience with these shocks?

Thanks!

I have them and have had them since about 30k give or take. I now have 138k and they still do well.

You can use either. I have liked my shocks used them on last two Durangos and my Ram. A lot of people seem to hate the 4600 here but haven't had them so I don't know how they know. Also they can be set at two heights in front depending on outdoorsman height or other trims factory height. I had my mechanic set to outdoorsman height it specifies how right inside the paper in the box!

they are wholly and utterly wrong, talked to the guys at Bil many a time the real scoop s the 5100 are better overall

two proofs are obvious in the picture better body, real boot , the internals are better as the ride is so much different from the two shocks

I get the boot is a nice addition. I like the 5100 probably will get them next go around. I do however find it odd how when someone asks about the 4600 people chime in the 5100. They are very similar. I find the 4600 to be pretty ugly but I went with them anyway. They have been very very good shocks. The guy wants the best shocks for the money and no lift and I would argue the 4600 are just that. He could run the 5100 with no adjustment too but this gives him options.
