Black badges ?

Are the oem black badges matte black or are some gloss black. When I check Amazon it tries to pair gloss front and rear ram heads with matte ram 1500 and hemi badges, and they all claim to be oem. Also if anyone has a link for a great price, im looking for those badges and the 4x4 in black.

thats OEM, they never had OEM gloss black badges for the rams, i wish they did, i have some of the matte black ram 1500 badges

The hemi badge is too. I have it. The Ram 1500 isnt.

If your hemi badge is gloss black I think you might have non oem badges

Mine has em

They were OEM I will look for the part number but they might have been for a Challenger and not the Ram. Not sure.

Love the black out look. I have a Black Edition Express.... RAMs are gloss black. And there aren't any door badges. I did order a set of the black Hemi ones, and they are matte. I have never installed them however...

For your tailgate, just tape off the rear emblem. I did that on my 2008 and 2010. It is easier than removing that sucker. I did painters tape around the whole thing, then taped newspaper around all of that. It was very easy. Did a light sanding over the chrome part, then laid down a couple of coats of primer, and gloss black. It turned out superb.
